Walgreens Coupon Policy

Walgreens App

Customer Service: 1-800-WALGREENS (1-800-925-4733) or email here!

  • Does Walgreens have a current coupon policy?

YES. Read or print the Walgreens Coupon Policy!

  • What is a Register Reward (RR)?

Register Reward (RR) are special receipt coupons earned by a customer for purchasing a certain item during that promotional period. You’ll notice a Register Reward sale on many items in the Walgreens weekly circular. Register Rewards are used like cash to purchase nearly anything at Walgreens. Register Rewards can be used at ANY TIME, even right after receiving it and stacked with all coupons.

  • Can I use a Register Reward (RR) on a Register Reward deal to earn more Register Rewards?

YES, but you cannot use a RR on the same RR deal. You MUST use your RR on a different RR deal in order to earn more Register Rewards. Certain limits apply.

  • Does Walgreens accept internet printable coupons?

YES.

  • Does Walgreens accept FREE product coupons or Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Coupons?

YES.

  • Does Walgreens accept a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE manufacturer coupon to be used on a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE store sale?

YES. In most cases, you’ll end getting both items for FREE b/c the manufacturer coupon pays for the item your buying and the store sale pays for the “FREE” item.

  • Does Walgreens allow a coupon to be used on a FREE item during a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE store sale?

YES. For example, if product A is on sale for Buy 1 at $1.50, Get 1 FREE, you may use TWO product A coupons (one on the item your paying for and one on the item your getting for FREE). In many cases, you’ll end up getting both items for FREE.

  • Does Walgreens allow you to stack their stores coupons with manufacturer coupon for the same one item?

YES. You may use ONE Manufacturer coupon, ONE Manufacturer Store coupon (found in their weekly ad) & ONE Instant Value coupon (found in their monthly coupon booklets).

  • Does Walgreens accept coupons with a greater value than the price of the item?

YES. For example, if you have a coupon for $3 off product A and product A only costs $2.50, Rite Aid WILL adjust the coupon down, so you’ll end up getting product A for FREE.

  • Does Walgreens offer rain checks on out-of-stock items?

YES. And these rain checks do NOT expire. Though, NO rain checks are allowed on Register Regard (RR) sale items.

COUPON PRO’S HOT TIP: Walgreens gift cards can be used to purchase retail and restaurant gift cards at Walgreens.

Maybe silly question, but when you have an in-ad coupon and it says “Limit 6″ does that mean you need 6 of the coupons to reach that limit? Or does the coupon apply up to that limit. I assume the first.

Yes the single coupon applies towards the max limit allowed by the coupon =]

I find Register rewards work like coupons. Make sure you have one item for each coupon, including the Register Rewards. They will reject the last coupon you give them if you have, for example, 1 items with a manufactures coupon and a RR. You can grab something that costs 10 cents and have the 2 items required for them to accept the manufacture’s coupon and the RR. Tricky.

This may be picky of me, but for the answer in the question “Does Walgreens accept coupons with a greater value than the price of the item?” You say “Rite Aid” instead of Walgreens. Just making sure it is indeed Walgreens that does this

Walgreens in Roy refused to issue a raincheck on the Arm and Hammer Sale because it was a three day sale (had not ended yet). Just an FYI…and disappointing!

Both Walgreens stores near me have refused to stack manufacturer’s coupons with their instant value coupons. One manager told me that the coupons in the booklet were vendor funded and were therefore manufacturer’s coupons. Very frustrating. I won’t be shopping there any longer.

It is not clear to me (and I would be VERY thankful if you know the answer) if I can buy multiple “sale” to get my balance rewards. For ecxample: this week add says that the IGUM if for sale and for each two I will get 1000 balance point. It is similar to the register rewards, where only one RR is allowed per item? Or I can buy 6 gums and get 3000 balance points?
Your clarification is greatly appreciated.

Lately my local Walgreens has not allowed me to use a manufactures coupon and earn register rewards. I can’t find anything here that supports or denies this policy. Can someone clear this up for me?? Can I use a manufactures coupon and earn register rewards? Thanks!!

I work in a military commissary and have a customers family using Walgreens coupons to purchase their groceries. If you would put on your in store coupons redeemable only at Walgreens, you would not lose your in store coupon savings at our store. These people use only your coupons on their groceries to keep from paying for their food because they say manfacture coupon from P&G.

Can I use a coupon for $10.00 that lapsed while I had emergancy surgery. I did not purposely not use it as it was only good for two days. Or issue a new one to my card? I could really use the $10.00! Thankyou, Linda Horst
