JANUARY 3, 2014 – Campbell Soup Company is voluntarily recalling over 300 cases of 24 oz jars or Prego Traditional Italian sauce with “Best By” dates of June 16, 2015. What’s the reason? May spoil before expiration date on the jar. For full details, go to Prego Recall 2014!

A year and a half away??? If they can tell that far in advance why did they put it into jars and ship it.?
Probably put the wrong date on it to begin with would be my guess….
I work for Campbells. more than likely we put the wrong amount of citric acid in. happens all the time
