Tanimura & Antel Romaine Lettuce Recall 2012
August 19, 2012 – Tanimura & Antle Inc. is voluntarily recalling a nearly 2,100 cases of their Field Fresh Wrapped Single Head Romaine Lettuce. The lettuce is packed in a plastic bag with the UPC number 0-27918-20314-9, and it may have a “best by” date of Aug. 19. What’s the reason? Over fears about possible E. coli contamination. Most of the cases were shipped to the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, GA, KS, KY, MD, NC, NM, NV, NY, NJ, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA and Puerto Rico.
