FEBRUARY 9, 2012 – BSH Home Appliances has anounced a voluntary recall of over 1 million Tassimo Single-Cup Coffee Brewers. What’s the reason? There are reports of the brewer spraying hot liquid on people, in some cases leaving second-degree burns. This item was sold at department, mass merchandise and home improvement stores nationwide and on various websites, including www.tassimodirect.com, from June 2008 through February 2012 for between $100 and $250. How to get a refund on your recalled products?

If you have any of the products stated, make sure to contact Tassimo toll-free at (866) 918-8763 (available Monday-Friday 8 am to 8 pm ET or between 8 am to 1 pm ET on Saturdays) for information on how to return the affected products and receive reimbursement.

      You can either go to this website (https://www.tassimosafetyrecall.com/Brewer_Check.HTML) or call them. They are not going to replace the whole tassimo coffee machine. They are only replacing the defective part. I already ordered mine and it should be here within a couple of weeks.

    trying to get in touch with you re recall of single cup tassimo machine. left a phone message, still no return call and having difficulty on line finding where to report this. please phone me at 289 337 4348 as I spent several minutes on the line when i phoned thank you rosemary sutherland

    my Tassimo coffee maker was one of the recalls i registered it on line and was told that you were sending me a part to be replaced and that i should receive replacement part in 10 business days well the 10 business days have paced what kind of scam are you doing i paid over $100 for my coffee maker.

      I ordered my replacement part and have already received it.
      I was just wondering when they will sell the Capuccino T-discs again.

    Once again cost-cutting has damaged a brand and indeed the entire single cup concept.
    When will the message sink in? Imagine Apple having to recall iPad!
    I note Starbucks is introducing its own brew system…good luck with that…a few years ago I was also part of their coffee brewer recall.
    Have waited at least 3 weeks for my replacement brewer T-disc holder and had to phone Tassimo. I did get my T-disc coupon, but of course can’t in theory use it!
    Note, we. do use our brewer and it did spit out water and grounds at one stage, even though we were using a ‘kosher’ T-disc…just made a mess but I advise keep at least 2 meters away from the brewer when it is working.
    As for capuchino or latte going on sale, who knows how that will be managed?
    Tassimo may have to insert disclaimers , but they need to address current T-disc sales as well.

    On March 3rd I notified Tassimo as suggested that I had a Tassimo Bosch brewer, provided them with the necessary information, I did receive the replacement T Disk holder with in a week. However they did not send a large enough bag for me to return the T Disks. I packaged the T- Disks and returned them on March 19th. I called Tassimo on April 13th at 9:30 AM my time and was advised the T Disks were received on March 24th and the agent advised me the T Disks were going to be returned in the immediate future. I called again today April 24th and was initially advised that one package of T disks were going to be sent, I advised the agent that 33 T-Disks were returned all with the same identification number, after further checking she acknowleged they did receive the 33 T-Disks and a check would be sent within four weeks. This does not reflect well on Bosch, At this point I feel I should return my two machines to Bed Bath and Beyond where they were purchased and replace them with competetors units.
